A richly detailed antique brass chandelier with six arms and cut glass shades. The brass frame has a wonderfully decorative form, with scrolling arms, foliate detailing and a heavily worked central stem and bowl.
The cut glass shades add beautiful sparkle and softness, with a classic rounded shape and frilled brass galleries. The shades were likely originally intended for gas or paraffin use, later converted for electricity — a lovely detail that adds to the chandelier’s late Victorian or early Edwardian character.
A striking piece with plenty of presence, ideal for an entrance hall, dining room or room with high ceilings.
