A French cut glass hall lantern dating to the early 20th century.
The lantern features a deeply cut glass shade enclosed within a decorative nickel-plated framework, suspended from three chains with scrolling supports and a cast cherub detail above. The glass is finished with a shaped lower finial and decorative banding to the centre.
The combination of cut glass and ornate metalwork is characteristic of French entrance hall and vestibule lighting from the period.
A decorative lantern suitable for an entrance hall, passage, powder room or stairwell.
